Figuring out where to register your domains can be a very big decision. If you are trying to register more than one domain, it's best to choose a site that allows you to buy your domains for wholesale.
Sites like GoDaddy.com or emidomains.com are very good choices. As a wholesaler, you are able to get domains for less than $8/$9 a year. If you have a hundred domains, you can end up paying a mere $100 a year ($1/domain name).
The real challenge with purchasing domain names isn't in finding a site where you can see a difference in savings. Saving a dollar or two isn't worth it if you're going to a registrar that you are unfamiliar with. Instead, you should be more focused on making sure you understand and are comfortable with the user interfaces on that site.
Don't focus on saving a buck...
A lot of people are more focused on trying to save a buck and register with new sites without first familiarizing themselves with it.

Make sure you're familiar with the user interface. If you're happy with the site you're on, stick to it and try saving money by becoming a wholesaler versus switching to a new one.
